We're an independent record label based in Melbourne, Australia.
Salty Dog Records was founded in 2017 by press operator and vinyl enthusiast, Noah Wright.
This passion project was inspired by Melbourne band King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. In late 2017, they posted a statement relinquishing all ownership and copyright of their album 'Polygondwanaland', making it free to produce, distribute, and sell.
Working long nights pressing records, Noah heard the news and was ecstatic at the opportunity to use his years of experience and niche talents to create a masterpiece for his favourite band.
That same night, Salty Dog Records was created.
The overwhelming support for the project lead Noah to dedicate all his time and energy into crafting some extraordinary, unique, limited pressings for the fans.
But it didn't stop there.
The Salty Dog family has expanded to include more than 14 artists from around the globe.
